The year 2026 marks the 60th anniversary of the death of Louis Joseph Lebret, a leading proponent of a “human economy” at the service of “integral and harmonious development.” Here we present a brief and insightful portrait of Lebret as a thinker, practitioner, and educator, developed by Denis Goulet, one of his principal followers, particularly regarding the “ethics of development.”
